Hey all so I'm going to school in Seattle and I was wondering if there were any decent drives to go on in the Puget Sound area that don't take all day to do or get to? I have yet to find anything searching around so I thought you guys might know....thanks in advance!
there's tons of places to drive.. what are you driving for though? scenary? or hiking? or just to drive?

I'm looking for a scenic drive thats also, obviously, pretty fun to drive on. I don't want anything I can "race" through...just something with some turns that's scenic or whatever and fun to drive on!

when its open... the North Cascades highway is awesome. When i had my sport bike, i went on a ride to winthrop and it was absolutely gorgeous. I cant imagine its any different in your favorite 4 wheel vehicle
But you said you didnt wanna drive far to get there... i say its worth it i just get on mapquest or whatever you use and look for places that could be fun. now with the satellite images it makes it alot easier cause you can see if its a rural area or urban.

prime-time driving season is almost here. I do alot of drives with NASIOC guys and I will always post them up beforehand here. Last year I organized a drive to Mt. Baker which was freakin' awesome, absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful, fun roads, and a turnout of over 80 cars - and no bad driving. I'll be doing that again this year. I've also done several drives around the Cascade Loop which is an all day ordeal. Meet up at Burlington, go across to Winthrop, down to Lake Chelan, and over and back across through Leavenworth and then we split when we hit the Fairgrounds in Monroe. Freakin awesome drive.

Hmmm, yeah I go to college up here so I'm not too familiar with surrounding areas. Mt. Baker drive or a Cascade loop sounds awesome even though it is all day. Just need to figure out the route.

I printed out 100 copies of directions for the Baker drive plus its always reccomended to have radios like Motorola Talkabouts or whatever that style of radio is called.. GRMS or something? There's always route overviews/maps posted beforehand when someone else is organizing though.
