i just pulled my jdm gsr out of my 93 eg and am putting it in my 2000si but before i do i want to make sure it is a good strong daily driver & if i happen to get some more performance out of it too then i'm not complaining. what is the best engine stuff to do with a $1000 budget?
if there is nothing wrong with your B16 its not really a life saver swap. The JDM GSR is either 170 ir 175 hp. Your B16 is 160. There really isnt a whole lot of benefit. Use the $1,000 and the money you would spend doing the swap (extra parts and shit) and get yourself a nice set of cams, valve springs, and retainers for your B16 and get something to tune it with such as Hondata.
You would gain more HP then the swap and save yourself a lot of time and effort.

I would search ebay and get a Hondata, then what ever you have left over try and get some valve train componets, and I/H/E. Have it tuned and it will be a strong DD.

Dont buy anything unneccessary until the motor is in the car and running. You'll be very surprised at how much you will spend just to get it in there in misc parts.
