i posted this in the tech support but i want your opionions too

i did a compression test yesterday i held the trottle wide open and did it step by step following the haynes manual and my numbers ran 150 for three of them and one at 125-130... i see people are getting 180-220....

whats next? should i get my engine looked at

i was told by a mechinic that if they are all with in 20% of each other they should be fine...but im planning on going turbo in the near future,

the over all numbers are low......but pretty close to each other. how was the charge on your battery? try it again with a battery charger on it. if not i would strongly suggest a leak down test before you boost it. boosting a weak motor is a receipe for disaster.

#'s are a tad low for a stock motor.

However, depending on your goals, >300whp you can slap a kit on it, properly tuned and run it.

No tuner can gurantee how long it will last, so you may want to have spare parts laying around if in case it let's loose.

The safest way would be to grab some rods/pistons.

Your choice.

yeah thats what i was thinking doing sum internals. now its time to save up more money....or credit card is easily available. sucks being in the military i get paid w/ rocks and dirt.

i bought a brand new battery about 2 weeks ago should be good but ill try the charger on it, should i worry about the one only giving out 125 pressure while im getting 150 on the other three?

Are you in Jacksonville NC? If so, I know the shop to go to if you are not a DIY guy. If you just want to check out the numbers again though, you can PM me and bring it by the house and I will do it for you. Chances are, you were off a bit on your methods. WOT, warm engine, 5 cranks per, dizzy disconnected.

One if the big reasons for people getting low numbers is they do it on a cold car and no body is holding the throttle wide open.
