Took my car down the strip today. Not a bad day, cold but dry, not a lot of traction (for 340 wbhp). Ist gear was a waste of time, so I launched in 2nd. The car span the wheels for vertually the whole track. Did a best of 13.94@108.20 against fellow R driver (funny how a race gets the best out of you). Best 60' was 2.3 which I was pretty pleased with as it was usually 2.6-7. No LSD, std clutch, std exhaust and totally std engine and transmission and useless Potenza tyres. Did 12 runs and it all stayed together, really enjoyed myself. Going to research for more grip!

maybe im missing something,
stock motor, stock clutch, stock exhaust but you have 340whp?
In your other thread you said they raised your rpm limit, thats not going to last long on stock honda valve train. Im going to call bs , till you post some pics of the car, install, and time slips, i dont know anybody that can afford a supercharger but cant afford a digital camera.
If you need a host pm me.

I'll do just that tomorrow from work, in the mean time heres the time slip data. 2.370 60' 6.351 330' 9.333 1/8 81.79mph 11.798 1000' 13.964 108.20 mph (sorry got the time wrong by 2 100ths). I'm loosing a lot of time and speed at the moment, I recon I can get in the 12's easy with some mods and a good track. I vertually all my runs were low 14's with a 13.97/107.6. The tyres were squealing vertually the whole length of the track (Santa Pod raceway here in the UK, temp was about 45-50 degrees with a moderate head wind.

launching in 2nd on a stock clutch??? 108mph is pretty low trap for 340whp, and spinning and street tires will inflate your mph.
with 325whp i went 12.2 @ 117 in a full leather interior coupe, obviously on slicks...but still running 18's in the rear, sub and amp in the back. in a coupe. far from lightweight.
200whp is usually around a 100mph trap. 140 more horsepower would def. give you more than 8mph at the end of the track. dont take this the wrong way, not trying to be a dick...just saying these numbers dont exactly add up.

I agree. Even in my heavy ass Si coupe I went 115mph with 298 whp.
340 at the wheels should be almost 120mph
Something is wrong.

Like a guy on ClubRSX said 'it took forever to hook up and when it did at the top end it was to late'. I don't want sceptisism from you guys just some help in putting it down! I will be fitting an LSD and a new clutch (I can see it won't last if I had traction). But whats the best tyres, tyre size, wheel size etc. Thanks for your help.

not an insult at all at all...dont take this the wrong way...but it totally seems like you just need more driving experiance. yes a LSD, suspension, and traction bars will help...but driver is going to make the biggest difference.....and the reason i brought up the MPH thing is b/c trap speeds are consistant with horsepower levels, even when there is traction problems....so if your car made that much power on the dyno before, it is def. not making that much power at the track, so you may want to evaluate your set up and make sure everything is running correctly. once again not an insult here but just pointing something out.....your car is not making enough power to be "spinning all the way down the track" unless there is some driver error issues going on. FWD high horsepower boosted cars are very difficult to drive, especially on street tires. you are NOT going to be able to "launch" the car....and your NOT going to be able to go full throttle in first or second gear. and first and second gear will usually require you to let off the throttle several times....once you feel the car loosing traction....back off the gas.. not always 100% ...but sometimes that is required as well. most people get to the track and just try to go 100% balls to the wall from the tree to the traps...and thats not going to work, even on slicks.

Many thanks slowpoke. I've just recieved my Quaffe ITB, fitted Toyo R888 225/40 x 18 tyres on 18x 7.5 rims, just looking for the best clutch to use. i need reasonable pick up as I use the car daily. I thought the Exedy Cerametalic would be a good choice, what other options are there.

Why don't you ask about possible problems than bitch about what you think you see. This is a prototype installation. The dip stick you can remove without disturbing the IC. The IC is sat on foam wedges to protect it against vibration, its also easy to remove with a screwdriver and undoing two clips (a 30 second job). There is a scooby scoop in the hood for cooling and it works pretty well. If you want the cooler in the front or a charge cooler there is no problem as the impeller housing can be turned through 360 deg at 60 deg intervals, its very universal. I am showing you this because it works well and far out performs any other blower installation period, AND I can fit an even bigger blower straight in where this one is at the moment. But don't worry guys I can't sell it to you as you have a power steering pump just where I take my drive from. In the UK we have an electric pump on the rack and don't have this problem.

that looks like the easiest intercooler in the world to remove, what's the problem?
many top mount/sidemount/stock mount ICs are held in with charge pipe coupling alone, maybe a wedge or a support..............
Nice setup, you should be seeing a lot better times with a good clutch, slicks, and driving.

Nice to see some positive comments, thanks. I have had the car test driven by two magazines in the UK, 'Track and Race Car' and 'Japanese Performance'. Both Journo's loved it and were impressed with the speed and drivability, and quietness (the blower makes no mechanical noise and stock exhaust). On T & R's test track its maximum speed on the longest straight was 134mph v 112 on the std Si. and it lapped the track about 6 seconds faster (approx 1min 30 track). JP said it felt like a OEM product to drive with great fueling from idle to red line and excellent throttle response from any rpm and as it has the OE exhaust it felt very civilised but deceptively fast.
