Well after several years, a supercharger, and a Type R motor, I'm finally getting the chance to go boost. I just bought SRP 9:0-1 pistons, eagle rods for my B16A2. The block's in the shop right now getting bored. Can I hit the 400whp mark? I want a good streetable turbo, but I also want to get a good 400whp. What trim turbo should I be looking at?

I'm kind of lost on the head still. I've heard the local performance shop tell me not to have a port and polish, yet my machine shop is telling me every little helps. I'm going to stick with the s4c and add an LSD. If i get the type R lsd i can get it in before i put everything back together, but if I go Quaiffe i'm going to have to wait for funds.

dont forget the valve springs and retainers..
and if you can get your hands on the type r.. just go that route..
and what about fuel... as in Injectors, and pump..

go with the tradional Walbro 255lph.. and injectors well thats up to you.. how big you wanna go.. i would say go with 750cc and call it a day..

400whp headwork is NOT needed.

Some aftermarket stix & cam gears = set.

I wouldn't go w/the type r lsd, as it's not helical. Pick up an obx for a fraction of the cost.

1000cc injectors are the same price as 750's...are 1000cc's a better way to go?

Like most SI owners; we always want more power...soo.. I want to give myself some freedom to boost up a little bit mor on nights that i want to run race fuel. Are Type R springs and retainers good for 450-500hp? Will a port and polish help me to lower boost pressure and keep same hp numbers? Also will obx handle all of this newfound power? Sorry for all the q's... I just don't want to have to keep tearing my engine down and rebuilding it. Oh and valves... are yall running stock valves?

Thanks!!

Yea, get teh 1000cc's you can always turn them down.

Obx will handle the power, I'm running one.

Stock valves are fine.

Type r valve springs/retainers will handle the power, just depends on how aggressive the cam is and how far you want/need to rev.

lol at the machine shop telling you to port your head, and the speed shop telling you it's a waste.
