The Z is sold, and i'm thinking of going back to a civic. I made a thread about it in OT but their replies were for the EP3 because of it's looks over the EM1.
EM1 i'm looking at

All stock, which I don't mind even though it will be a tad bit weird going from a boosted Si, to a twin turbo Z to a stock Si but it's in good condition has around 150,xxx km's and is priced at $9000 obo
EP3 -
 72,xxx km's, few mods regarding looks and stereo, priced at 15k. it's a 2002
Another EP3 - http://forums.780tuners.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=56730
Too lazy to post pics and specs from the 3rd civic :p
But yeah, I do like the EM1's and I'm just working for a year before I go back to school so I could probably turbo the em1. cua0 says the EP3 is the worst SiR ever and I'm awaiting his reply back as to why he says that haha.
Opinions?

Id take an EM1 anyday over the EP3.I just dont like the looks of the hatch much.I have seen a few that were well done but must dont catch my eye.The red si you got there looks ok from the pics. Its so tough to find a clean stock one nowadays.Id take a closer look at that and try to work some bargaining magic

It'd be a DD but i'm thinking of going with the EM1, just got off the phone with the guy and worked out a decent price, it needs a new windshield and brakes but he said he would get that stuff put in new and sell it for $8k which is pretty good for the km's on the car, condition of body and the fact it's canadia and all cars are stupid expensive. most Si's around with d series are going for this price or more in lots of cases. I got a year off before I go back to school so I would probably buy new parts and turbo it for next summer, I'm addicted to boost.

the problem with the EP3 Si/SiR is the engine. its a great chassis and works well in Asia and Europe as the Type R. They put in a crappy economy engine for the North American market that has eco-VTEC with only one intake valve operating at low load. If you wanted to make the EP3 a fun car, you can swap in a K20A2 or a K24 frankenstein and have a TON of fun. you can even use the RSX-S/ITR transmission (with the 2liter) or an Accord Euro R trans for 6spd dash shifting fun. plus, the EP3 has a LOT nicer interior than the EM1.
i'll tell you what though, there is something special about the EM1. i don't quite know what it is. with just a few handling mods, they corner much better then they should. the flat torque curve and high redline, combined with relatively slow acceleration, make for a car that is so much fun to beat the shit out of on a daily basis and take out to autocross and twisty roads.
