Ok so I finally got my car running after a long while and I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips for better cooling. I already think I need a new thermostat because of how my temp guage is reading (going up fairly high and then dropping back down).

Currently only thing I really have that would help cooling wise is a Hondata IM gasket.

This is on a b18c1 with JRSC+High boost kit + other stuff.

I pretty much have the exact same set-up. Don't really know what else we can do beyond the IM gasket. I use 94 octane gasoline which we have up here and that is one way to minimize detonation.

Other than that, there is no other cheap way to reduce temps. THIS is the problem with the JRSC.

I am going to wire up my dry NOS kit and spray a light shot very much down the air box.

well I was thinking would a new fan switch, cooling plates, Aquamist Water Injection, etc etc

Just seeing if that stuff would be a waste of cash or not.

there's a shop in FL that custom builds a cooling system just for the JRSC. i'm not exactly sure how it's bolted on but i know that it has a heat exchange coil inside of it. you can find more info through him, John of LHT Performance.
www.lhtperformance.net his phone number is 941-344-1800. he does a lot of custom fabrications and stuff. i hope this helps.

water injection is your cheapest and best cooling aid. I say that because I have it and it works. I have ran my car intercoolerless (well aftercoolerless) without performance losses associated with heat. Even in humid hot days at the dragstrip! I have reinstalled the intercooler and am in the process of upping the boost! Water injection good.

See I would LIKE to do the LHT intercooler setup but that is $1000 right there and I have to ship them my manifold. I have talked to them before on Honda-Tech a few months back.

i heard water injection works well too. can be used for many applications. but i think if you have the money, go with the custom cooler. that's just me.

my personal opinion is, the more stuff you throw under the hood, the more problems you might have. like leaks. so i try to stay away from certain options. it's really personal preferrance i guess.

Hondata IM gasket, water wetter, JR thermostat, radiator cap, header wrapped is all I need for the hot AZ sun. Tune it a bit on the rich side up top if your worried about detonation. 91 octane sucks.

Be careful, I highly doubt it's your TStat...more than likely it's high EGT's which are causing your cooling temps to rise...

Water injection for JRSC + a bigger radiator...

Maybe look into a good tune....

That's another thing, I do need a tune as well. Right now I am running off the stock ECU since my OBD-1 crome tuned ECU wasn't working correctly I had to swap it out. So yeah, that is probably another factor.
