Hey, I just bought a greddy profec spec b 1 used, is there anyway to bypass it to see if it's working correctly cause every seting I put it on DOES'NT work ? I've got everything hooked up correctly: charge pipe hose to IN(or should I tap into the intake manifold?), Wastegate hose to out, and dip switch is set correct to.
To solenoid box(with the hose going to it ) has a chunk of plastic taken out of it, that shouldn't effct it should it? thanks

Ok. If the electricity is turned off. IE the EBC is turned off, the actual controller (the black box in the engine bay) will allow a 1:1 ratio. 1 lb going in (from compresser wheel) and 1lb going out (to actuator). As you turn the knob from the far left, clockwise, the ratio changes. The low boost nob turned all the way counter clockwise is a ratio of 1:1. It goes as high as about 2:1. Then the high boost nob, turned to the min setting, all the way counter clockwise is a ratio of about 2:1, then progresses to a larger ratio.

When your running with a 5.5lb wastegate spring, and your on the max boost setting for the low knob (ratio of about 2:1), you'll be around 11-12 pounds... lets say 11 for the sake of argument, 11 pounds going in from the compressor, 5.5 pounds going out to the actuator.

So to see if its working just turn off the electronic part, and the black box in oyur engine bay should do nothing but allow a 1:1 pressure ratio between the two hoses coming to it. Hope that helps!
