basicly JV killed the show with his spiritual preaching. It was okay at first but then he went psycho and was getting annoying. Things went all down hill in the last 3 years.
Only time dog house was good like old days was when they were finding new team members and having contest between them. And the only reason it was good was because they were so busy doing it that JV couldn't get on his spiritual trips.

I remember when the show started back when it was Hot 97.7. I loved that station but then they killed it with The Doghouse. Never listened to 97.7/107.7/94.9 after that. Anyone remember Hot Day South Bay Concerts at Great America? Yeah, I'm old.
I listened to them up until 2001 or so, which is when I switched to Stern completely. They basically talked about the same shit over and over, in addition to the non-stop religious references and spiritual lectures at 8AM.
Not a huge loss IMO, hopefully they can still salvage the show name and make something out of it.

Show was good back in the day, but it was about 2002 and later it started going bad.
What pissed me off the most was in the last year JV was talking about how he wasn't going to get all spiritual anymore, this and that.. and that he was going to save it for off the show and his "cd" he's making.. When in fact every other sentence was him getting all spritual. At that point I just slowly waited until they kicked him off the air.
Only thing I'm sad about the show being gone is no more Dog House Comedy Jams.
