mine started doing the same thing with hondata. 1000-2000rpm the idle bounces for example when stopped at a light.

honestly if so many of us have the same problem how can there be no fix for it?
I love the way the car drives with the hondata, but in all honesty it makes my 00si seem like a shit box. Especially when it revs up and down at the lights anad people look at you.

Where did you guys take your coolant lines from? If you take them from the throttle body area, those cycle through the IAC, the IAC requires coolant cycling through it to idle properly.

This is in the "Got Boost" section. Your car is turbocharged, correct?
I know it matters on the D16z6, i don't know about other engines.

i for one am SC and i never modified any of the coolant lines. This problem only started once the hondata was installed.

he's talking about a turbo that is cooled with oil and water as opposed to turbo that is cooled only by oil. the easy-ass way to rig up a watercooled turbo is to just run the coolant lines from the throttle body to the turbo instead of doing it correctly, if you do this, often times the throttle body won't idle correctly & it's not a tuning problem.
about 95% of the time, however, the problem lies in the tune. whoever tuned your car didn't bother to test out idling under a wide variety of conditions. I'm guessing that it was dyno tuned? Dyno tuning is great and 100% necessary for every car with an aftermarket fuel system, but that doesn't mean that street tuning for part throttle, crusing, and idling isn't needed. It is an important part of a car's tune to do street tuning or else you end up with things like part throttle hesitation or idle issues....

With the OBD 1 conversion on OBD 2 cars there's something about the IACV that can give a bouncy idle. I believe hondata has a way to adjust the duty cycle of the IACV. Your tuner should be able to take care of that.

First thing's first. check EVERY vacumm line in that engine bay. Thats the #1 cause. Second, IACV which is not likely but it happens. If its still jacked, and you have hondata, then find another basemap from someone else. I had a stock B16 motor with 750cc's idling PERFECT at 900rpms. Of course, Mase tuned it. Send your ECu to him and he'll give you a perfect base map until you get tuned. If you are tuned then damn... sucks for you. sorry.
